Live Feed
Continuing with the emphasis on accessible data, the new Live Feed gives you different ways to explore your data right from your dashboard. You can find immediate value in these insights rather than being overwhelmed—quickly understanding the story and identifying opportunities in the data across several categories:
- Insights – going beyond the raw data to highlight patterns, trends, or relationships within the information offers a deep understanding or comprehension of occupancy data for a particular location
- Recommendations – suggestions and considerations derived from the combination of occupancy data and Basking’s in-house AI algorithms
- Alerts – be notified when specific events, conditions, or changes require your attention or prioritization
In-App Benchmarks
Basking’s global benchmarks analysis provides a quarterly assessment of unique occupancy trends and insights. Those data points are now available directly in the user dashboard, paired with the your metrics for comparison and evaluation: how good is your occupancy? Is it improving over time? Where is there room for further optimization in the new year?
As an on-demand indicator of what good looks like in terms of workplace occupancy, the embedded benchmarks allow you to own performance and understand it in the context of the latest regional trends.

Return-to-Office
We know RTO remains a ongoing area of focus, even as objectives and goals evolve. Revamped Return-to-Office Insights provide tailored goal recommendations at the site level, using simulations that draw on three months of historical trends. Learn more about RTO goals and how to check or adjust yours.
In addition, the automated Portfolio-Level RTO Report offers a global scope with granular data to give you the best of both worlds. Analyze and optimize the RTO potential across your organization with helpful features like:
- Maximum RTO potential analysis by region/country
- Occupancy insights and analysis by frequency, duration, and weekly peak occupancy
- Adherence to RTO mandate
Ready to optimize? The Floor Closure Potential analysis in your dashboard helps identify the opportunity to close certain floors on low occupancy days. Generate OPEX and CO2 savings and avoid “empty office” syndrome for those in the office while increasing occupancy across the rest of the site.
Employee Personas
As RTO continues to evolve, understanding how your employees use the office(s) is more important than ever for informing your strategy, goals, and approach. Basking has developed pioneering new analyses that go far beyond head count and badge scans to fit today’s dynamic workplace.
Mobility Personas identifies the patterns within your office population across six categories:
- Occasional – short durations (4/- hrs) and occasional frequency (2-3 days/week)
- Regular – short durations (4/- hrs) and frequent visits (4-5 days/week)
- Hybrid – long durations (4/+ hrs) and occasional frequency (2-3 days/week)
- On-Site – long durations (4/+ hrs) and frequent visits (4-5 days/week)
- Infrequent – visits office rarely (~1 day/week)
- Flexible – does not follow a consistent mobility pattern
And since you also need to understand how many people regularly work at a particular site and how many are visiting from elsewhere, our data analytics and engineering teams delivered with Workspots.
These powerful tools are the perfect pairing to understand and measure your employees’ paths, preferences, and priorities.
