Basking AI already helps users ask questions about their workplace portfolio, occupancy, capacity, headcount, utilization, and other operational data. Many of these questions naturally produce tables.
For example, a user might ask:
“For all sites with allocated headcount known, show the table with a ratio of allocated headcount to capacity.”
The AI Assistant can answer this directly in chat by generating a table with site names, allocated headcount, capacity, and the calculated ratio. But for many workplace and real estate teams, the next step is not just reading the answer. They need to sort it, filter it, share it with colleagues, include it in reporting, or continue working with it in Excel.
With Excel file generation, the Assistant can turn that structured response into a downloadable .xlsx file.

A Real Customer Use Case
This feature was inspired by a real customer use case from a Fortune 500 manufacturing company.
The customer asked Basking AI to produce a site-level table showing the ratio of allocated headcount to capacity across locations where allocated headcount was known. The Assistant returned the data in chat, but the result was exactly the kind of output that belongs in a spreadsheet: multiple rows, structured columns, calculated values, and business-critical comparisons across sites.
